Warming up server (this could take up to 30 seconds)
Quick guide: this is a pre-release "alpha". There are bugs, this is for casual play. Here's some points to help you use the app:
Removing dead stones: Like in the real world, you have to remove the stones yourself. Use the "map controls" to set a key or button to this function. Then, when hovering over the stone that is dead, click that button/key.
You can only remove dead stones on your turn. Anyone can remove any stone. (Please be careful and don't remove the wrong stone, or you'll make a mess and probably hit a bug as you try to undo and replay and such.)
Audio/Video: click the toggles on the first modal to enable/disable. You can also play/pause your audio/video in-game, see menu.
Sometimes the audio/video (which is p2p and dependant on your connection) can drop. Player White should not refresh (that will cause the room to close), but anyone else can. As long as you re-enter with same username & rank, you should be able to continue the game and reconnect the stream.
Katago rooms: You can play solo against katago. The top two rooms in the "active games" list is always "katago vs katago" and "you vs katago". (Once you start them, others will be able to join as spectators too.)
You have to remove dead stones when katago is playing, including when katago is playing itself.
FPS tip 1: close the menu. (You can re-open it by clicking on the Alexa/Google play looking thing.) (The analysis view is particularly heavy.)
FPS tip 2: set 'still sky' or 'no sky', don't select 'Indoors', select 'noshadow'.
FPS tip 3: play smaller boards. The more stones on the board, the more lag that develops. (Will be fixed in future versions.)
analysis tools only work on 19x19 in this version of the game.
troubleshooting
WebXR is experimental tech; use Chrome, anything else is not guaranteed to work
Turn off audio/video to see if that's the issue.
Use minimum settings: no sky, noshadow, disable 'dev', no fancy goban, no bowls, no indoors, no music
Music auto-play in browsers is hard, because of spam prevention. Go into music setting and skip forward a song, and then play/pause. It'll eventually start playing.
